The Paris and Tokyo MoUs have published the ten-question questionnaire for their joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign on cargo securing, running from 1 September to 30 November 2026.
The Paris MoU and Tokyo MoU will run a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on cargo securing from 1 September to 30 November 2026, carried out alongside routine port state control inspections. The official questionnaire was published in a joint press release on 3 August 2026.
The questionnaire has ten questions on compliance with cargo securing requirements. Seven of them can lead to a detention; questions 1, 6 and 10a/10b can only give rise to non-detainable deficiencies.
Local campaigns may also be introduced at short notice, so crews should be ready for additional checks in some ports.
