UKMPA has launched an interactive poster to help crews explore compliant and non-compliant pilot transfer arrangements under revised SOLAS Regulation V/23, with deadlines to 2030.
The launch follows the IMO's updated PTA performance standards (MSC 110, June 2025), which require reporting and rectifying non-compliant arrangements.
Each year, around 100,000 vessels call at UK ports, making safe PTAs critical. Deficiencies can delay operations, trigger inspections, and indicate wider vessel management issues.
Developed by UKMPA experts, the poster lets users explore compliant and non-compliant arrangements, supporting training, inspections, and pre-arrival checks. Compliance deadlines are 2028 for new builds, 2029 for first surveys, and 2030 for non-SOLAS ships.
